The collection of wines of museum quality of Badacsonyi Pincegazdaság Rt is expanded by the noblest vintage wines of the best years from year to year. The more recently acquired, new bottles on store shall be be shold in 15-20 years from now. The wines of individual vintages are available in numbered and authenticated bottles (until the stock is depleted).

1971 Badacsonyi Szürkebarát

A sweet white wine of the museum quality

Monks of the Tihany Abbey established by Andrew I in 1055 planted and purified, following the footsteps of the Romans creating a viniculture in Pannonia, the vines of the wines-grapes called Szürkebarát (literally: the Grey Monk or Pinot Gris). It is ancient Hungarian species, which can only be produced in a truly excellent quality in the unique volcanic soil of Badacsony. The shrunken dry grapes of the vine were harvested in November 1971 and were brought to maturity by having kept them in the oak casks of the Esterházy Cellars at Badacsonylábdihegy for 3 years. After this they were decanted into bottles and were left lying for decades in the cellars offering ideal climatic conditions. Its fragrance and flavour are unique in the world

1988 Badacsonyi Olaszrizling

A semi sweet white wine of museum quality

Grapes of Olaszrizling (Welsh Riesling) type were only harvested in their centuries old original quality on the slopes of Badacsony. The grapes of this wine, having a high sugar content, were collected in traditional wooden butts in the autumn of 1988. Its must was matured in the oak casks, of the Esterházy Cellar at Badacsonylábdihegy however its natural sugar content was not fully fermented into alcohol. Later on it was laid down decanted into bottles for more than a decade among the ideal climatic conditions of the cellar as a top quality reserved wine. It qualities as a rarity among the noble wines with its flavour and fragrance.

1988 Badacsonyi Kéknyelű

A dry white wine of museum quality

One of the most ancient Hungarian grape types, Kéknyelű (literally: grapes with a blue stem) can survive while retaining its original in its original quality exclusively in the volcanic soil in Badacsony. By today it has become singularly unique. Its must was let to mature in the oak casks of the Esterházy Cellars at Badacsonylábdihegy for three years then they were laid down, decanted in bottles, for more than a decade among the ideal climatic conditions of the cellar. Its a dry wine for feasts having a unique fragrance and flavour.

1991 Badacsonyi Chardonnay

A dry white wine of museum quality

A Badacsony's humus of volcanic composition offers an excellent soil for producing Chardonnay, one of the most noble French grape types. The number of sunny hours, the fact that the rays of sunlight hit the mount at exactly the right angle, the local micro climate as well as a proper amount of precipitation uniquely induce the ripening of this wine grape. Its must was made mature in the oak casks of the Esterházy Cellar at Badacsonylábdihegy and then it was decanted in bottles and was left lying for almost a decade in the ideal climate of the cellar. Its rich fragrance and flavour enable it to quality as the wine to be offered on most special occasions.
